How we install luxury vinyl plank
Site assessment
Inspect the existing subfloor, test moisture levels and assess substrate condition.
Subfloor preparation
Grind, level and prime the substrate to manufacturer tolerances. Apply moisture mitigation if needed.
Acclimatisation
LVP acclimatises to room temperature and humidity before installation.
Installation
Glue-down or click-lock installation depending on the product and application.
Finishing and handover
Transitions, skirtings and edge trims installed, followed by final inspection.
Maintenance guide
- Daily: Sweep or dust mop to remove grit and debris
- Weekly: Damp mop with a pH-neutral cleaner
- Periodically: Machine scrub high-traffic areas
- Avoid: Abrasive cleaning pads, ammonia-based cleaners, steam mops
