How we install hybrid flooring
Site assessment
Inspect subfloor condition, test moisture levels and verify flatness tolerances for floating installation.
Subfloor preparation
Grind high spots, fill low spots and ensure the substrate meets manufacturer flatness requirements (typically 3mm over 3m).
Moisture barrier
Polyethylene moisture barrier installed over concrete substrates to prevent vapour transmission.
Acclimatisation
Planks acclimatise to room temperature for 48 hours before installation.
Installation
Click-lock planks installed as a floating floor with appropriate expansion gaps at all fixed points.
Finishing and handover
Transitions, skirtings and edge trims installed, followed by final inspection and care documentation.
Maintenance guide
- Daily: Sweep or dust mop to remove grit and debris
- Weekly: Damp mop with a pH-neutral cleaner
- Periodically: Machine scrub high-traffic areas
- Avoid: Abrasive cleaning pads, steam mops, excessive water pooling
